Peaceful Pregnancy, Powerful Birth
through Kundalini Yoga and birth preparation

March 7 - April 18 (no class April 4)
Sundays:  4:00 - 5:30 PM

This six week series is for women at all stages of pregnancy who wish to support healthy minds and bodies with yoga and birth preparation.
Class will begin with a topic of discussion that relates to pregnancy and birth followed by a yoga set to relax muscles and support the change your body is undertaking.  Guided meditations will lead breath and being to relax and enjoy the magic of motherhood.
Nurture yourself in a friendly and supportive atmosphere where all are welcome to ask questions, keep fit, and support a peaceful pregnancy and powerful birth!

Comfort measures for labor
Mind/body connection
Choices and decision making
Birth stories and more...


Katie Muschlewski practiced Kundalini Yoga throughout both her pregnancies to strengthen her mind and will for birth.  She completed her teacher training apprenticeship with Guru Anand Kaur to become a Kundalini Yoga Instructor in 2005.  Katie Launched Yoga Sprouts! Child & Caregiver Yoga Advemtures in 2007 to share yoga with her kids and community.  She completed her first Yoga Sprouts! educational manual in 2009 and is working on book two. She continues her education through her personal practice and teacheing, by attending yoga conferences and workshops, and is especially grateful to Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa for her prenatal books, videos, and workshops!  Katie has taught many pregnant women in her regular courses and can offer modifications to pregnant women who wish to attend regular classes, advance notice is appreciated.  Please, always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program and keep your instructors informed of any medical changes.  Happy Birthing!

Karissa  Andrews, doula and childbirth educator ,  seeks to empower women to make informed choices in regards to pregnancy , childbirth and beyond.  She has  completed the DONA (Doulas Of North America) doula training,  is currently training in childbirth education through Birth Arts International, and has attended  several births as a doula.  Karissa believes there is a great deal of preparation that can be done during pregnancy, mentally and physically, that can help you to have a  more satisfying birth experience.  Her classes will focus on increasing confidence in the birth process  through the sharing of information, empowering birth stories,  and discussions  related to childbirth.

 Karissa has practiced yoga for many years and is excited to come together with a kundalini yoga

 instructor who is passionate about birth to present a unique approach to childbirth preperation.
